Connie Edwards, Principle

A Portland, Oregon native, Connie started designing homes for Barbie and Ken when she was 10-years-old.

She holds degrees in Visual Arts from UC San Diego and Interior Design from Bellevue College.

She began her career in San Diego and Los Angeles working in pharmaceutical and hospital sales. After moving to Seattle with her husband, she followed her passion and began working in interior design professionally. Before starting Edwards Interiors she was a Senior Designer for Six Walls on Mercer Island.

Besides working in the design field with clients for 20 plus years, she and her husband love to cook and entertain. They raised 3 active boys while remodeling 5 homes of their own. She is keenly aware of the value of a circular floor plan, how important a powerful yet quiet fan is in the kitchen, and that by providing necessary spatial needs you create harmony.

Philosophy

Our goal at Edwards Interiors is to create spaces reflective of you and your life experiences. We take the stress out of the design process by first understanding your intended use of the area, and guide you from the beginning stages of concept sketches to editing architectural plans and creating drawings for builders purposes.

We want to understand your preferences and learn what drives you. One of our roles is to act as facilitators in the process between contractors and the home owner to keep the project on schedule, or to meet with the architects to make sure we give as much thought to the interior flow and function as the exterior design. Sometimes the sticking point is finding solutions between spouses or partners when they have opposing design aesthetics. Other times we are helping to interlace your treasured pieces with new selections to make the space more interesting and truly yours. We are creative peacekeepers.

Curating the best selections to fit the project saves time and avoids expensive mistakes. In our design process, we encourage you to make choices that will enhance your vision and age gracefully.

What People Are Saying

“We hired Connie to help us design a basement kitchen for us and we were so happy with the results we have now updated 3 bathrooms, our living room and just completed a remodel of our primary kitchen. The outcomes have far exceeded our expectations. We feel like we have a whole new home and we enjoy it everyday. Connie has an energetic positive attitude and from the beginning we were convinced she had our best interests in mind. She is a delightful person to work with and we both give her our highest recommendation”

“Connie helped us pick out all of the furniture and bedding for cabin while it was under construction so we could move in and enjoy it the minuet it was finished. We walked in to a home we loved with art work on the walls, pillows and throws in our favorite colors and felt like she really listened to who we were and want we wanted . She made it beautiful, while still practical for our messy and busy family. She was also very efficient. This was such a great experience we had her help us with our primary home and my office . Connie brings a lot of life experience to the design table and helped us navigate what otherwise would have been an overwhelming process”

Hope and Peter

“We purchased a home that was a completely different style from anything we had ever lived in. We knew we wanted to remodel, but were at a loss as to where to start and how to pull it all together. Connie worked with our architect and contractor, and helped us develop a master plan to shape and remodel the home into something we truly love. She listened to what we liked and how we wanted to use the space, and came up with plans that were tailored specifically to us. The result is that we have a home we love, and one that feels like every space has a purpose, and it all flows so nicely together. It was mind-boggling how many decisions there were to make – flooring, tile, counter tops, lighting, door knobs, paint color, molding, and more -- and she was able to guide us through it all and give us the confidence that we were making the right choices for us. Her knowledge and experience were invaluable to the positive outcome of our remodel.”
