Portage Bay Kitchen Remodel

This kitchen was stuck in the 70’s with cabinets blocking the waterfront view. We removed a row of upper cabinets and designed a custom china cabinet to increase storage. Fresh custom cabinetry set on charcoal floor tile transformed the look of this space. The tile has a brush of caramel which ties in the adjacent wood floor and exposed wood ceiling. A new location for the microwave makes access much easier than over the cooktop. A quiet hood that is uber efficient is a treasured silent partner. Adding a mirror to the exterior door visually expands the space, reflects the view, and brings light into a dark corner. By adding a 3rd window bay in the adjacent dining room, the homeowner was able to expand their view and add more light to the home.

Redesigning the desk area to include a file cabinet, space for a printer and storage, with undercounter lighting gave them an efficient office location.
